Step back in time to the glitz, glamour, and jazz-infused Roaring ’20s as the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, dressed in the fashion of the era, performs iconic selections from speakeasies and “The Great Gatsby.” The toe-tapping program includes works by Gershwin, Copland, Bernstein, Price and Light.
The concert will also feature a special appearance by the Portsmouth Brass Quintet performing a selection of Scott Joplin and other 1920’s jazz-era music.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in the celebration of the evening and in the spirit of the bygone era.
