The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is grateful for your help in maintaining the health of our musicians, visiting artists, staff, and audience.
All of our orchestral musicians and staff are fully vaccinated and are requested to wear masks indoors at all times.
The PSO will adopt the COVID-19 policies of the following host venues: The Music Hall and Jimmy’s on Congress (see below for links). For concerts at Portsmouth High School or other venues, the audience attendance policy will be as described below.
The PSO Board of Directors respectfully requires all audience members to show proof of completed vaccination (two weeks following both doses of Pfizer/Moderna vaccine or one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine) in the form of the original vaccination card or a photo/scan thereof. In the absence of vaccination, proof of a negative COVID PCR test within the prior three days is acceptable and must be presented for admission. Children under the age of 12 (not currently eligible for vaccination) are exempt but must wear a mask. Mask-wearing is also strongly encouraged, but not mandated, for individuals over the age of 12. Anyone with any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID infection (fever, chills, loss of taste and/or smell, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, headache, muscle ache, gastrointestinal issues) is requested to stay home.
The PSO and its performance venues will continue to closely monitor transmission/hospitalization data for southern New Hampshire from the CDC, which may compel a revision of protocols at any time by any of the organizations. Please stay tuned.
