The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra is pleased to offer several ways to involve our youth in musical adventures, informing the minds and hearts of the younger generation with the rich history of classical music. In addition to offering performance opportunities for local young virtuosos, the orchestra also offers schools the opportunity to take advantage of our Informances.
All informances are geared to last approximately 45 minutes to an hour in length. All concerts can also include a PowerPoint to give a multimedia boost to the Informance experience, and a “Meet the Instruments” in which the students are invited up close and personal to meet the musicians, talk about the instruments and in most cases, even try them out!
